Famous First Grade Quotes

I decided my first grade quotes are too valuable to be deleted each month so they are now worthy of posting status.

"Mrs. Wheeler, I know your REAL name, it's Joshlyn." I love when they figure out my "real" name.

"I now know how to spell we." Okay spell it for me..."W-i-i" Very good, that's what Ninetendo is doing for the education of our children. This student then preceded to spell "wii" for the vice principal in the same manner.

We were writing 3 word alliteration poems and one of my students came up with the poem,

Terrible
Tori

Trees
When I read this among all the other poems out loud to the class. Tori (the terrible Tori of the poem) said, "Don't worry Mrs. Wheeler, the author of the poem (who shall remain nameless) wasn't trying to make frenemies she was just using my name because it worked in the poem." I had been worried but that cleared everything up.

Wheeler Easter Hunt

Easter

Here are some pictures I dug up from my mom's collection of past Easter's.

Happy Birthday Jed!

This year for Jed's 26th birthday we celebrated by having a fiesta. Complete with two kinds of enchiladas, two cakes and the best part, a pinata. Everyone got to take a swing and I think the big "kids" enjoyed it more than the little ones.

Dream Home

Here is our new house! How do you like it? We will be building it in the year 2080, after Jara has collected our life insurance and life savings and is the ruler of the world.

Jed and I went to the Parade of Homes in St. George last weekend and have been dreaming of infinity edge pools and five car garages ever since. We saw some home features that only rich, lazy people need. My favorite are as follows:

A mini-fridge in your walk-in closet

A putting green (Jara really liked the flags)

A four poster bed by your pool

3 flat screen tv's on one wall

We also saw things that every home lender should give you for free when you commit to paying a monthly payment for the rest of your life.

A playroom for your children where everything is tot size
