The girls and I decided to join our friends and watch the Nutcracker this year. I hadn't been since Jara was three. The show was staged at the Smith Center in Las Vegas and it is a beautiful venue. A little spot of culture for sin city. Jara was excited to go and I wasn't worried a bit about her, however, we decided to take Elise and I was sore afraid. Needless worrying, she was an angel, the threat of the usher was enough to quiet her into submission, that and the distraction of sparkling, beautiful dancers. The show was amazing, hello-a real canon, but the best was looking over at my girlies faces and seeing the sheer wonder and delight.
Elise and my "grandchild" Diamond, I love it when Elise calls me grandma in public. You may not be able to tell but Elise and Diamond had matching dresses.
Jara and her friend Abby.
I love that my friend Annie and I have daughters we've raised together from the cradle. Couldn't have planned it better.
My little ballerina. During intermission she danced all the way to the bathroom.
Golden sisters
Posing with friends and Clara. Clara was a good sport and made the girls' day by visiting with them after the show.
