4 Months

The holidays make the months go by so fast I feel as if I blink and Elise is another month older. She is oh so adorable and already developing her own (strong) little personality. One of her many nicknames has evolved into "princess beast." Her tricks, milestones and quirks this month include...
-Daily baths, as opposed to weekly, haha just kidding, in the beginning my babies have sensitive skin and daily bathing seems to aggravate, dry out and produce various other discomforts so we every-other-day bathe but by this age we are getting a routine down and incorporating daily bathing, which Elise luvvvs, tidal waves in the tub are quite common due to her vicious jack-rabbit feet kicking.
-A nasty personal vendetta against the darling toy monkey with chew toys, er rings. Elise clasps the poor little monkey in her death grip and chomps down on his multi-colored feet with vigor and then shakes him with her mouth like a rabid dog. She only does this to the monkey so it really is somethin' personal.
-Sleep training. ugggg I don't want to talk about it. I don't know who is training who.
-Sticking out her tongue which is only endearing at this stage *note Jara and Jack.
-Bidding farewell to the bassinet. sniff sniff
-Grabbing, grabbing, grabbing this girl is strong. Expect my hair in a daily pony-tail because having it within Elise's reach is not an option.
-Figuring out how to work Mucinex man. Let me explain, Elise has this toy that looks like the Mucinex nasty cartoon guy, so lovely, anyway it has a pull loop on it that makes it vibrate. She has figured out how to work it when it is hanging from her play mat. I couldn't figure out what "that noise" was one day and tada!
-Screeching, also endearing only at this stage
-Giggling, which is the result of all kinds of strange acts on behalf of the parents. We are shameless in our endeavors. The result is well worth the effort.
